Leslie has been a lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest and since 1997 has called San Juan Island her home. Before joining Cornerstone in 2019, she along with her husband, operated her family-owned restaurant business for 18 years and later served as Executive Director of San Juan Island’s animal shelter for 15 years.
When she’s not supporting students and helping with administrative duties, Leslie enjoys cooking, gardening, and helping her husband run Kanaka Bay Farm — their seasonal greenhouse nursery and flower stand. In her spare time, she continues to volunteer and fundraise for local animal welfare organizations, combining her love of animals with her dedication to the island community.
