The home care aide exam is required to complete your HCA certification. After purchasing this exam, you will receive an email with a registration form that MUST be completed to finalize your exam scheduling. Purchasing the exam alone does not complete your registration.

This exam is taken in-person at one of our partner locations in Olympia, Vancouver, or Sequim.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who can take the HCA exam with Cornerstone?
Students who have finished their required HCA training and are ready to test can schedule their exam with Cornerstone, even if they completed their training with another school.

I already paid for my exam with Prometric. Can I get a refund?

Prometric processes refunds on a case-by-case basis. If you are unable to cancel your exam and have your refund processed, it may be best to proceed with the exam you currently have scheduled. Cornerstone cannot issue refunds for exams that were purchased with another entity.

How soon can I take my exam after finishing training?

As soon as your training is finished and we receive your exam registration, you can test at the next available date.

Do you offer interpreters for the exam?

Interpreters are available for the HCA exam. We will need a minimum of 30 business days prior notice to ensure the Department of Health can accommodate your request. Languages available with interpreters are: Arabic, Amharic, Khmer, Korean, Laotian, Russian, Samoan, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Spanish, Tagalog, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese.
