This learning plan is designed for caregivers who have already completed both Orientation & Safety and a population-specific training, such as Mental Health, Dementia, or Nurse Delegation, and need to complete the remaining requirements for Home Care Aide (HCA) certification in Washington State.
Learning Plans 3–6 are partial training pathways that allow students to apply previously completed training toward the 75-hour HCA requirement, helping them avoid repeating coursework and complete certification more efficiently.
This is the most streamlined self-paced option and is ideal for caregivers who want to complete their remaining training fully online.
This learning plan includes:
Core Basic training (excluding Orientation & Safety)
Online skills lab with video demonstrations and assignments
Credit for approved population-specific training
Core Basic review and final exam
