Core Basic: Mobility and Skin Care

This course introduces caregivers to safe mobility support and essential skin care practices. Learners will explore the causes and effects of limited mobility and develop skills to assist clients with walking, transfers, and repositioning using proper body mechanics and assistive devices. The course also addresses fall prevention and how to safely respond if a fall occurs.


In addition, learners will examine the importance of maintaining healthy skin, including hygiene, nutrition, and routine observation. The course covers common skin conditions, pressure ulcer prevention, and techniques for turning and repositioning clients to protect skin integrity and promote overall well-being.
