HCA Certification Program (In-Person Skills Labs, No Pop. Spec.)

Price: $478.00

In-person skills labs are currently available in Lakewood, Mountlake Terrace, Olympia, Renton, Sequim, Spokane, and Vancouver.

Formerly known as Learning Plan 5b.

This program is designed for caregivers who have already completed a population-specific training, such as Mental Health, Dementia, or Nurse Delegation, and need to complete the remaining requirements for Home Care Aide (HCA) certification in Washington State.

The HCA Certification Program options are partial training pathways that allow students to apply previously completed training toward the 75-hour HCA requirement, helping them avoid repeating coursework.

This option is ideal for caregivers who prefer hands-on, in-person skills training while completing their certification.

This Program Includes:

  • Orientation & Safety

  • Core Basic training

  • In-person skills lab

  • Credit for approved population-specific training

  • Core Basic review and final exam

To receive the DSHS 75-hour Home Care Aide certificate, students submit proof of completed population-specific training. Proof is not required to enroll and can be sent any time before the program is finished.

Intended Audience: Long-term care workers (LTCW), home care aides (HCA), nursing assistants (NAR/NAC), registered nurses (RN) and other healthcare professionals.
