This program prepares caregivers to become a certified Home Care Aide (HCA) and fulfills the full 75-hour Washington State training requirement.
75-Hour HCA Training: Mental Health Focus is required for caregivers working in residential care settings, as it includes both Mental Health and Dementia specialty training.
This option is ideal for students who prefer hands-on, in-person skills training in a classroom setting while completing the rest of their coursework online.
This Program Includes:
Core Basic training
In-person skills lab for hands-on practice
Mental Health Level 1 (live virtual)
Dementia Level 1 (live virtual)
Upon completion, students will receive a DSHS 75-hour Home Care Aide (HCA) certificate.
