HCA Certification Program (In-Person Skills Labs, No O&S, No Pop. Spec.)
Price: $458.00
In-person skills labs are currently available in Lakewood, Mountlake Terrace, Olympia, Renton, Sequim, Spokane, and Vancouver.
Formerly known as Learning Plan 6b.
This program is designed for caregivers who have already completed both Orientation & Safety and population-specific training and need to complete the remaining requirements for Home Care Aide (HCA) certification in Washington State.
The HCA Certification Program options are partial training pathways that allow students to apply previously completed training toward the 75-hour HCA requirement, helping them avoid repeating coursework and complete certification more efficiently.
This is the most streamlined option for caregivers who prefer hands-on, in-person skills training.
This Program Includes:
Core Basic training (excluding Orientation & Safety)
In-person skills lab
Credit for approved population-specific training
Core Basic review and final exam
To receive the DSHS 75-hour Home Care Aide certificate, students submit proof of completed Orientation and Safety and population-specific training. Proof is not required to enroll and can be sent any time before the program is finished.
This learning plan prepares caregivers to complete the 75-hour Home Care Aide (HCA) training requirement in Washington State through Core Basic training, skills practice, and Nurse Delegation specialty training.
Learning Plans 2 and 2b are designed for caregivers who plan to work in home care or private-duty settings, where Mental Health and Dementia are not required. This plan is also appropriate for caregivers who have already completed Mental Health and Dementia training.
This option is ideal for students who prefer a fully online, self-paced format.
