Diabetes Level 1 - Live Virtual Class (Retake)

Price: $118.00

This retake course is for students who previously completed Diabetes Level 1 but did not pass the competency exam. The instructional content is the same as the original course, and students will attend the full 8-hour live virtual class again. Participation in this retake session provides learners with two additional attempts to pass the Diabetes Level 1 competency exam.

During the retake, caregivers will review essential diabetes concepts, including types of diabetes, risk factors, symptoms, complications, blood sugar management, nutrition, medication considerations, and person-centered care strategies.

The class reinforces effective communication, trauma-informed care, and the structured three-step approach to responding to challenging diabetes-related behaviors. Caregivers will also revisit strategies for supporting ADLs and promoting both client and caregiver self-care.

This retake session allows caregivers to strengthen understanding, clarify difficult concepts, and build confidence in providing safe, informed, and compassionate care to individuals living with diabetes.
