This learning plan prepares caregivers to become a certified Home Care Aide (HCA), a required credential for working in Washington State long-term care settings. This learning plan prepares caregivers to complete the 75-hour HCA training requirement with a focus on Nurse Delegation.

Learning Plans 2 and 2b are best suited for caregivers working in home care or private-duty settings, or for those who have already completed Mental Health and Dementia training.

This option is ideal for students who want hands-on, in-person skills training along in a group setting with their coursework.
