This retake course is designed for caregivers who previously completed TBI Level 1 but did not pass the competency exam. The class content is the same as the original course, ensuring participants receive a thorough review of key concepts related to traumatic brain injury (TBI). Caregivers will attend the full live virtual class again and will receive two additional attempts to pass the required competency exam.
As in the initial course, participants will deepen their understanding of how TBI affects a person’s thinking, behavior, emotions, and daily activities. The class reinforces effective communication skills, person-centered care strategies, and practical approaches to supporting individuals living with TBI. Caregivers will leave better prepared to promote recovery, uphold dignity and independence, and improve the quality of life for those they serve.
