This retake course is for students who previously attended the Substance Use Disorder class but did not pass the competency exam. Students will complete the full class again, reviewing the same content and receiving two additional attempts to pass the exam.
Caregivers will revisit key topics including types of substances, signs of misuse, the impact of substance use on health and behavior, stigma reduction, recovery support strategies, trauma-informed care, and effective, nonjudgmental communication. This retake session helps caregivers strengthen understanding and build confidence in providing safe, person-centered care to individuals living with substance use disorders.
