This learning plan is designed for caregivers who have already completed both Orientation & Safety and population-specific training and need to complete the remaining requirements for Home Care Aide (HCA) certification in Washington State.


Learning Plans 3–6 are partial training pathways that allow students to apply previously completed training toward the 75-hour HCA requirement, helping them avoid repeating coursework and complete certification more efficiently.


This is the most streamlined option for caregivers who prefer hands-on, in-person skills training.


This Learning Plan Includes:

  • Core Basic training (excluding Orientation & Safety)

  • In-person skills lab

  • Credit for approved population-specific training

  • Core Basic review and final exam

Includes In-Person Skills Labs with locations available in Spokane, Olympia, Mountlake Terrace, and Vancouver.​

Intended Audience: Long-term care workers (LTCW), home care aides (HCA), nursing assistants (NAR/NAC), registered nurses (RN) and other healthcare professionals.
