Learners will explore how both verbal and nonverbal communication influence understanding, trust, and the quality of care. The course emphasizes the importance of tone, body language, and conversational style, along with practical strategies for active listening and responding with empathy.


Caregivers will also learn how to reduce communication barriers, send clear messages, and adapt communication to meet the needs of clients with hearing loss, cognitive impairment, or other communication challenges. By applying these skills, caregivers can promote respectful interactions, reduce misunderstandings, and support clients more effectively in everyday care situations.
